CHICAGO, May 15 (UPI) -- Grains closed lower on the Chicago Board of Trade Friday, as stocks and crude oil prices also closed lower in New York.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Corn was off 10 3/4 to off 11 1/4, soybeans were off 13 1/2 to off 17 1/4, wheat was off 15 3/4 and oats were unchanged.

Corn closed lower in sympathy with crude oil with prices pressured by a stronger dollar. Wheat, priced high, is also struggling to compete with a strong dollar, traders said. Soybeans prices fell on a report China was currently exporting meal due to an oversupply.

The prices for futures contracts:

Corn: Jul 4.17 1/4, off 11; Sep 4.26 3/4, off 10 3/4; Dec 4.38 1/2, off 10 3/4; Mar 4.49, off 11 1/4.

Soybeans: Jul 11.30 1/2, off 17; Aug 10.85, off 13 1/2; Sep 10.23 1/4, off 17 1/4; Nov 9.75 3/4, off 16 1/4.

Wheat: Jul 5.77 1/2; Sep 6.04; Dec 6.26 1/4; Mar 6.41 1/4, all off 15 3/4.

Oats: Jul 2.28; Sep 2.36 1/2; Dec 2.49; Mar 2.63, all unchanged.
