NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla., June 27 (UPI) -- A Florida man who left the Catholic priesthood after being caught with a woman has exchanged vows with her in an Episcopalian service, witnesses say.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Alberto Cutie, 40, married Ruhama Buni Canellis, 35, Friday at the historic St. Bernard de Clairvaux Episcopal Church in North Miami Beach, The Miami Herald reported.

About 50 guests attended the ceremony, held 10 days after their civil marriage at a Coral Gables, Fla., courthouse. Cutie became tabloid fodder after a Spanish-language celebrity magazine on May 5 published a photo of him and Canellis embracing on a Florida beach, violating his vow of celibacy as a Catholic priest, the newspaper said.

He was a priest at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Miami Beach at the time, but has since left the church and is in the process of becoming an Episcopalian minister.

"It's a free world", Victor Gutierrez, 49, of North Miami Beach, told the Herald. "Let them have fun and be happy."
