WESTWOOD, Calif., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Nickelodeon's "Drake and Josh" star Drake Bell was in serious condition Friday with injuries from a head-on collision in Santa Monica, Calif.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The star of the cable network's top-rated series was at the wheel of his 1966 Ford Mustang, stopped in a left-turn lane, when his car was hit head-on by a Mercedes on Pacific Coast Highway, TMZ.com reported.

The actor was transferred from Santa Monica Hospital to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, Calif., around 3 a.m. Friday with a fractured neck, broken jaw, facial lacerations and several missing teeth. His co-star, Josh Peck, was by his side.

"Drake and Josh" Executive Producer Dan Schneider said the show will suspend production for its fourth season until Bell is on his feet again.

Three new episodes have been finished.
