LOS ANGELES, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- The members of Motley Crue feel that getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is "fitting" for the flashy hard rock group.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

"We fit in there with all the dead movie stars", says bassist Nikki Sixx, who will join his bandmates -- singer Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars and drummer Tommy Lee -- at the Walk of Fame ceremony Thursday.

"We are from Hollywood; that's where we played our first gig. It's nice to be recognized for your work. It's all right by me", he said.

Sixx founded Motley Crue in 1981 in Los Angeles, and the group built its reputation in Hollywood rock clubs before signing its recording contract. Motley Crue has sold more than 40 million albums and is in the process of turning its best-selling 2002 book, the explicit "The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band", into a film.

Motley Crue resumes its Carnival Of Sins 2006 tour in February and plans to start recording a new studio album on May 1.
