NEW YORK, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Super Bowl XLIV MVP and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is set to appear on "Late Show with David Letterman", CBS said Monday.

Brees's visit will mark the sixth consecutive year that a Super Bowl-winning quarterback has dropped by the "Late Show" set in New York after the big game.

He is expected to "talk about his team's thrilling victory in yesterday's big game" when he appears on Monday's edition of the show, the network said.

Brees led the Saints to a 31-17 upset of the Indianapolis Colts, giving the team their first Super Bowl win in franchise history.

"Brees completed 32 passes out of 39 attempts, tying a Super Bowl record, for a total of 288 yards in a performance that not only helped secure his team's historic win, but also the title of MVP for the big game", CBS said in a news release.
