LOS ANGELES, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A former manager of Michael Jackson says the late U.S. pop star will be honored at the Grammy Awards by the singer's two eldest children.

Former Jackson manager Frank Dileo told CNN that Sunday's Grammy Awards ceremony will include an appearance by Jackson's children, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11.

Jackson's eldest children will be at Sunday's awards show to accept a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of the late "Thriller" star, Jackson's father, Joe, confirmed.

Joe Jackson downplayed rumors he was against the children appearing at the Grammys, telling CNN he and the children's grandmother, Katherine, approved the appearance.

"However, there has been some recent rumors that I am displeased with the idea that Michael's children are accepting the award on my son's behalf", Joe Jackson offered in a statement. "On the contrary, I am very proud of my grandchildren. Katherine and I are the ones who initiated their participation."

A family source, whose identity was not released, told CNN that Jackson's 7-year-old child, Blanket, is not currently expected to attend Sunday's ceremony.
