NEW YORK, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star and actress Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins -- a boy and a girl -- early Friday morning in New York, a published report said.

The babies are Lopez's first children and her husband Marc Anthony's fourth and fifth.

"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon", Lopez's manager Simon Fields told People.com.

The girl was born at 12:12 a.m. and weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and the boy was born at 12:23 a.m. and weighed 6 pounds, the magazine reported.
