NEW YORK, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Valuable jewelry and art, including prints by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, were stolen from a luxury New York apartment, police said.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Taken in the Thanksgiving weekend heist were five of the artists' prints, a painting by Carl Fudge, Cartier and Rolex watches and other jewelry with a total value around $750,000, the New York Daily News reported.

The valuables belong to Robert Romanoff, 49, president of Nebraska Meat Corp. His family also owns the building in Manhattan's Meatpacking District where the burglars broke through a hallway wall while he was away, police said. Romanoff found his home ransacked when he returned Nov. 28.

A video recorder attached to surveillance cameras in the apartment also was gone.

Among the artworks stolen were a set of eight signed prints in various colors by Warhol, called "Camouflage", and a large Lichtenstein print called "Thinking Nude", part of the artist's "Nude" series.
