ST. LOUIS, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Two St. Louis Rams fans were injured when they fell from the stands at the Edward Jones Dome while trying to obtain a souvenir from a player, officials said.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch said the two men, whose identities were not released, fell while reaching for a shoe thrown by a Rams player in the wake of the NFL team's season finale at the St. Louis stadium.

Rams officials said the men went over a railing and fell nearly 10 feet, crashing through a tarp covering the tunnel to the Rams' locker room.

While one of the men was able to stand immediately following the accident, the other individual was promptly transported to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, the Post-Dispatch said.

Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said according to news he received, neither of the two men was seriously hurt in the accident, the St. Louis Globe-Democrat reported.
