Ohio State (20-0) is a unanimous pick for the top spot while San Diego State (20-0), the only other unbeaten team, moves from sixth to fourth.

San Diego State is one of 10 teams ranked this week that didn't appear in the pre-season Top 25. Duke was No. 1 then, followed by Michigan State and Kansas State. Duke (18-1) is now third but the Spartans and Wildcats are unranked after going a combined 0-4 last week.

Pittsburgh (19-1) is ranked No. 2 and Connecticut (16-2), like San Diego State unranked in the pre-season, is fifth.

Kansas (18-1) slips from second to sixth after suffering its first loss of the season. Villanova (17-2) keeps the No. 7 place. Texas (16-3), which beat Kansas, goes from 11th to eighth.

Brigham Young (19-1) is ninth heading into a Mountain West matchup Wednesday against San Diego State.

Syracuse (18-2), which lost twice last week, falls from third to 10th.

Texas A&M (17-2) is down one place to 11th while Purdue (17-3) and Missouri (17-3) are both up one place to 12th and 13th and Notre Dame (16-4) and Wisconsin (15-4) are each up two to 14th and 15th.

Kentucky (15-4) drops to 16th ahead of No. 17 Washington (15-4), 18th-ranked Minnesota (15-4), No. 19 Louisville (15-4) and 20th Georgetown (14-5).

Illinois (14-6) comes in at No. 21 and St. Mary's (17-3) is down three to 24th. New poll entrants this week are No. 22 Vanderbilt (14-4), 23rd-ranked Florida (15-4) and No. 25 Utah State (18-2).

Arizona joined Michigan State and Kansas State as teams that fell out of the Top 25.
