WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, May 31 (UPI) -- Mark McNulty birdied the fourth playoff hole Sunday and won the Champion's Tour's Principal Charity Classic in West Des Moines, Iowa.

McNulty, 55, finished 54 holes with a total of 10-under-par 203. He shot 5-under 66 Sunday and was joined in the playoff by Fred Funk (66) and Nick Price (68).

All three players made par at the first playoff hole.

Price parred the 18th a second straight time, but was knocked out of the playoff when both Funk and McNulty made birdies.

McNulty and Funk both parred the third playoff hole, before McNulty ended the extra session with a birdie on the fourth extra hole at Glen Oaks Country Club.

"You make your own luck in this game, and I got a good break", McNulty said after his victory. "How many holes was the playoff?"

Mark Wiebe (69) finished fourth at 8-under 205 and, at 7-under 206, David Eger was fifth.

Two-time major champion Mark O'Meara withdrew before Sunday's final round because of a hip injury. O'Meara had struggled to a 77 in Saturday's second round.
