HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- In a move reminiscent of Tiananmen Square, police say a Connecticut resident was cited for disorderly conduct after confronting a city snow plow operator.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Nelio Nery, 34, allegedly was shoveling snow from the driveway of his Danbury home into the street Thursday when he was spotted by a city snow plow operator who stopped to inform Nery his action violated a city ordinance, The Hartford Courant reported Friday.

Nery planted himself in front of the plow and began arguing.

Police came.

Nery, standing firm in front of the plow, argued with the snow plow operator and the police who repeated their explanations -- in varying forms -- that his action violated city code.

Police allege Nery refused to listen or move, the Courant said and he was charged with disorderly conduct and violation of the city snow ordinance. Nery was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court in Danbury Feb. 10.
