| WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. Agriculture Deputy Undersecretary Burnham Philbrook is resigning because of a family illness, the Agriculture Department said Friday. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS Philbrook's resignation is effective Jan. 22. Philbrook, the undersecretary for farm and foreign agricultural services, told Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack in December about his desire to leave to care for his son, the department said in a release. "Bud's dedication and expertise has been a tremendous asset to USDA and our efforts across the globe", Vilsack said. "On both a professional and personal level, we will miss him.
