CHICAGO, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Grain futures closed mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Wednesday as stocks turned flat after the Federal Reserve left lending rates unchanged.

Corn was off 5 3/4 to off 6, soybeans were off 8 3/4 to off 11 1/2, wheat was up 5 to up 5 1/4 and oats were up 3/4 to up 1.

Corn futures closed lower after early gains as the dollar fell against the euro. Wheat prices rose, supported by a dry forecast in red wheat growing areas. Soybean futures fell despite news Egypt would purchase 30,000 metric tons of edible soybean oil.

The prices:

Corn: Dec 3.84, off 6; Mar 3.97 1/2, off 6; May 4.07 1/4, off 5 3/4; Jul 4.15 3/4, off 5 3/4.

Soybeans: Nov 9.95 1/2, off 11 1/4; Jan 9.99, off 11 1/2; Mar 10.02 1/2, off 11; May 9.99 1/2, off 8 3/4.

Wheat: Dec 5.21, up 5 1/4; Mar 5.40 3/4, up 5; May 5.53 3/4, up 5; Jul 5.64 1/2, up 5.

Oats: Dec 3.58, up 1; Mar 2.71 1/2, up 3/4; May 2.79 1/2, up 3/4; Jul 2.87 1/2, up 3/4.
