SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The Sofia News Agency reported Bulgarian authorities contacted the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg about being compensated for losses caused by Greek farmers blocking trade routes along the Greek-Bulgarian border.

"Bulgaria will seek compensation for the losses that the blockade has incurred to its business", Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said.

The prime minister said his country was prepared to wait several days before moving forward with reparation efforts.

"I warned the Greek authorities that we, as good neighbors, will wait for them to lift the blockade till Wednesday", Borisov said.

Meanwhile, Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou told Parliament Friday the farmer blockades were damaging Greece's reputation in the international community, the Athens News Agency reported.

"The roadblocks not only do not give solutions, but quite the contrary they create new problems. They cause immense damage also to the country's image, given that the biggest deficit is that in credibility", Papandreou said.

Firms in Bulgaria estimate this week's blockades have cost them nearly $56 million.
