SEOUL, July 31 (UPI) -- South Korea's "Naked News" announced it is closing up shop just over a month after the TV and Internet service was unveiled to the public.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Naked News Korea, the company behind the TV show and Web site, said all services were ended Thursday and the company is seeking ways of reimbursing subscribers, Chosun llbo reported Friday.

"As of Thursday, we are temporarily stopping all services including online content. We send our deep apologies to customers subscribing to our service", the company said in a statement. "Due to the internal situation, it is impossible to provide steady news services. We arrived at the conclusion that continuing to provide services to customers would only cause them further inconvenience, so we decided to stop our service."

The news comes after Naked News Korea failed to pay its anchors and other staff for the month of July.

The organization said it is "searching for ways to minimize damage to paid subscribers" who subscribed for July or the following months.

"As soon as we come to a conclusion, we will make an announcement on the Web site", it said.
