| SAKHAKOT, Pakistan, June 6 (UPI) -- Two leaders of a Pakistani Islamic militant group were slain when a prisoner convoy they were riding in was attacked, officials said Saturday. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS A statement from Pakistan's Inter Services Public Relations said Ameer Izzat, the spokesman for Tehrik-e-Nifaz-Shariate-Mohammadi, and Muhammad Alam Khan, one of its senior leaders, were slain in a prisoner van when militants ambushed the convoy in the Malakand district, Pakistan's English-language newspaper Dawn reported. "The convoy was attacked by an improvised explosive device followed by firing by terrorists at 5:10 a.m. at Sakhakot", the statement said, adding that one soldier was killed and five others injured in the assault.
