| YAMOUSSOUKRO, Ivory Coast, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- The United Nations Friday called on residents of the Ivory Coast to refrain from violence ahead of upcoming elections. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS The United Nations urged residents to engage in a peaceful voter registration process. Hamadoun Toure, spokesman for the U.N. mission to the country, said his mission "encourages all the parties to work to resolve the issues." Monitoring committees have received generators and fuel as part of the mission. Elections initially were scheduled for 2005 but have been delayed repeatedly. They are now set for next month but Toure said they may be postponed again.
