SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

A security agreement between the United States and Iraq calls for withdrawal of all U.S. forces by the end of 2011, but an Angus Reid Public Opinion poll released Monday in London found only 31 percent of Americans and 21 percent of Britons are "very confident" or "moderately confident" the timetable will be met.

The poll also found sizable proportions regret the decision to launch military action in the first place. Almost half of Americans (48 percent) said they believed the U.S. government made a mistake in launching military action against Iraq in 2003. That view is shared by 62 percent of Britons.

Some 68 percent of Britons and 58 percent of Americans said they now oppose the war in Iraq, the poll found.

The online poll was conducted Feb. 2-3 among 2,010 randomly selected Britons and 1,001 randomly selected Americans. The margin of error was 2.2 percentage points in Britain and 3.1 points in the United States.
