WASHINGTON, July 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Honda all-terrain vehicles due to risk of losing control.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Model year 2007-2008 TRX 420 Rancher ATVs, made by American Honda Motor Co. of Torrance, Calif., include rubber constant velocity boots that can puncture or tear, binding joints in the vehicle, which could cause a lose of control, a CPSC statement said.

About 42,000 of the vehicles, known as Honda FourTrax Rancher 4X4 ATVs, were sold from January 2007 through May 2008 for between $5,300 and $5,600.

Consumers were advised to stop using the vehicles and contact any Honda ATV dealer for a free repair.

Consumers can also call Honda at 866-784-1870 for more information.
