| SYDNEY, July 11 (UPI) -- The seats of the Sydney Opera House have been taken out and replaced by trees for a temporary art installation by French artist Pierre Huyghe. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS The installation, which transformed the famed Australian performance space into a faux forest for 24 hours, is part of Sydney's Biennale 2008 contemporary art festival, the BBC said Friday. Including thousands of trees, shrubs and plants, the installation was created to explore the relationship between nature and culture and is one of the biggest art works Australia has ever witnessed, the report said. "This really does have the 'wow' factor -- the cavernous space of the concert hall at the Opera House transformed into this magical rainforest", the BBC's Sydney correspondent Nick Bryan noted. "It looks like a very big, and a very beautiful botanical garden." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Related News Topics:
