LOS ANGELES, July 1 (UPI) -- U.S. comic actor Christopher Guest reportedly has signed on to appear in the upcoming sequel to "Night at the Museum", starring Ben Stiller.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Guest, who is married to actress Jamie Lee Curtis, has starred in the films "This is Spinal Tap", "Waiting for Guffman", "The Princess Bride", "Best in Show" and "For Your Consideration."

The Hollywood Reporter said Guest will play historic figure Ivan the Terrible in "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian."

Directed by Shawn Levy, the sequel reunites Stiller with his co-stars from the first "Museum" outing -- Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais and Owen Wilson, the entertainment industry trade paper said.
