NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The owners of a New York City mansion featured in the 1987 movie "Moonstruck" have struck it rich with a $4 million sale, a broker says.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The four-story, 4,160-square-foot home in the city's Brooklyn Heights neighborhood had become a tourist attraction since the release of the movie starring Cher and Olympia Dukakis, and now its former owners, architect Edwards Rullman and his wife, Francesca, have cashed on its elegance, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

"They wanted a family that would take care of it and appreciate it", real estate broker Elliott Lokitz told the newspaper. "Fortunately, we were able to find them and everybody was happy."

Lokitz said he didn't think the new owners, whom he declined to identify, cared much about the brick home's role in "Moonstruck."

"I'm sure they knew about it, but it had nothing to do with the sale", he told the Daily News. "They just loved the house and the location."

The newspaper recounted a scene from "Moonstruck" in which Dukakis stands outside the home with a male suitor, who comments, "My God, it's a mansion!"

"It's a house", she replies.
