DURHAM, N.C., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Seminal U.S. independent label Merge Records says it's readying a 20th anniversary CD box set curated by REM's Peter Buck and actress Amy Poehler.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The box set, entitled "Score!", will eventually include 14 discs and feature song collections curated by the pair as well as by "Junebug" director Phil Morrison, eclectic rocker David Byrne, author Jonathan Lethem, artist Marcel Dzama and chef David Chang and others to be announced, the label said in a statement released Tuesday.

The record label, based in Durham, N.C., said the set will be available by subscription only and copies will be limited to the number of fans who pre-order between Sept. 9 and January. Proceeds from the CDs will be donated to charities chosen by the individual curators.

Merge Records was founded in Chapel Hill, N.C., in 1989 by Laura Ballance & Mac McCaughan of the band Superchunk. Over the intervening years, it has released albums by such influential alternative rock bands as The Arcade Fire, The Buzzcocks, Dinosaur Jr., Neutral Milk Hotel and Teenage Fanclub.
