| ATLANTA, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Four writers who claim they were illegally fired this week by Tyler Perry's production company said they will picket outside his new studio complex in Atlanta. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS The Writers Guild of America West announced Friday that television writers Kellie Griffin, Christopher Moore, Teri Brown-Jackson and Lamont Ferrell, along with their supporters, plan to urge invited guests to respect their picket line at Tyler Perry Studios Saturday and Sunday. The action comes after the WGAW filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board, alleging that House of Payne, Perry's production company, unlawfully fired the four writers in retaliation for union activity. The complaint alleges the company bargained in bad faith with the guild, which is seeking to negotiate a contract covering the writers on Perry's cable television series "House of Payne" and "Meet the Browns." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Related News Topics:
