LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- The DVD release of the film "Wall-E" from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is the current top seller in the United States, Nielsen figures show.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The Hollywood Reporter said Friday that, according to the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, the computer-animated film topped all DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales while becoming the second most popular video rental this week.

Another new film release, "Tropic Thunder", captured second in DVD and Blu-ray sales.

The comedy starring actors Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. did manage to beat out "Wall-E" for the week's top rental spot, according to Home Media Magazine's rental chart.

Third on the overall home video sales chart was another animated film, "Kung Fu Panda", while "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army" moved down to fourth overall in U.S. rentals.

The Reporter said the sixth spot on the overall rental chart along with the fifth spot on the sales chart was earned by "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2", another of the week's new releases.
