LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Katie Holmes is to guest star on the quirky legal comedy-drama series "Eli Stone", ABC said Monday.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Holmes, who is married to actor Tom Cruise, is best known for her work on the former young adult show "Dawson's Creek." She has also starred in the films "Pieces of April", "Wonder Boys" and "Thank You for Smoking." She can now be seen in the Broadway play "All My Sons."

Holmes is to appear "as an attorney whose mysterious fate leads her to Eli" on the Oct. 21 episode of "Stone", the network said.

"Eli's latest vision comes to him in the form of a gorgeous, confident brunette singing to him", ABC said in a news release. "He discovers to his surprise that the girl -- Grace -- is real after he meets her at a baseball game, and he and Grace embark on a whirlwind romance."

Jonny Lee Miller plays Eli.
