| LONDON, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Mitch Winehouse, the father of troubled British soul singer Amy Winehouse, reportedly is to fill in as guest co-host on a BBC London radio show. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS The BBC said the elder Winehouse will be one of several guest presenters to help out Gary Crowley while his regular co-host Danny Baker is on vacation. Winehouse, a cab driver, is scheduled to appear on the afternoon phone-in show Sept. 1, the British broadcaster said. Winehouse frequently speaks to the media on his daughter's behalf. "Mitch has been a regular contributor to BBC London, calling into our phone-in shows", the station's assistant editor Justin Kings said. "He always has something worthwhile to say and a good sense of humor. Although Mitch's life is extraordinary because of Amy, he's still a London dad and I think our listeners can relate to him in that way." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Related News Topics:
