NEW YORK, May 21 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Gwyneth Paltrow says that after feeling burned out for awhile, she has found a way to balance her career with her family life.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

"I've got these tiny, amazing people and I want to be with them all day, every day", the mother of two and "Iron Man" co-star told reporters in New York recently.

"But what I realized is, it's OK to have something for myself, as well", she explained. "If I do one good thing a year that's a nice, interesting, supporting-size part where it's not three months where I'm gone five days a week, it's possible to have a good, interesting career and be a mother. It's very hard to figure out how to do it right, and just for me, I'm not comfortable in starring in one movie after another, and I won't be until they're bigger, by which point, I'll be old and no one will care. But that's OK."

Paltrow noted her own mother, actress Blythe Danner, was also selective in what projects she took while she was raising her kids.

"Then when we left the house, she won a couple of Emmys", Paltrow quipped.
