NEW YORK, May 19 (UPI) -- The U.S. chat show "The View" is set to tape a week of episodes in Las Vegas next month, ABC announced Monday.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The daytime television show -- starring Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd -- is to be broadcast outside of Caesars Palace June 23-27, the network said.

This is the first time "The View" will broadcast in HDTV while on location. "The View" has previously broadcast from Caesars Palace in February 2006 and February 2004, the network said.

"We are thrilled to have 'The View' join us again at Caesars Palace", Gary Selesner, president of the resort, said in a statement. "With Caesars headliners like Bette Midler and a host of talented entertainers, there will be no shortage of hot topics and great performances for daytime TV's leading ladies."

"What can I say, we like to lose money and sleep in Las Vegas every year or two", said "The View" Executive Producer Bill Geddie. "For the first time we will have Whoopi and Sherri with us. One will be gambling, the other will be praying. I'll let you figure out who's who."
