GLASTONBURY, England, May 21 (UPI) -- Troubled British soul singer Amy Winehouse is to perform ahead of U.S. rapper Jay-Z at next month's Glastonbury music festival, organizers said.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Winehouse, who has been in the headlines for the past year due to her erratic behavior, battles with drug addiction and brushes with the law, is to perform directly before Jay-Z on the featival's Pyramid stage June 28, the BBC said.

"I have total faith, I think she'll come and deliver", Emily Eavis from the Glastonbury festival told BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat program. "This is one of the biggest sets of the summer, supporting the most anticipated artist at Glastonbury in the past 38 years. ... I don't know how much is hot air from the press and how much is reality but she is pretty reliable actually. It's her personal life and no one really knows the extent of what she's up to and I don't think it should be public knowledge. We all know she's a brilliant performer and I think that's what we should be focusing on."
