"Shania Twain and husband, music producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage", Twain's representative Jason Owen said in a statement issued to People magazine.

"This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."

Twain and Lange married just six months after they met. They are the parents of a 6-year-old son, Eja D'Angelo, People.com said.
