VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 16 (UPI) -- Canadian actress Lauren Lee Smith has signed on to star in the U.S. television show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" next season.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The Vancouver (B.C.) Sun said Smith will fill a spot left vacant when actress Jorja Fox departed the popular series last year.

Little has been divulged about who Smith will play on the show, the report said.

Smith, 27, a Vancouver native, is best known for her work on the Showtime drama "The L Word."
