WEST ALTON, Mo., June 29 (UPI) -- A Missouri farmer known for his role on a virtual TV series acknowledges reality has flooded in on his life.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Matt Neustadt, 30, star of the CW network's "Farmer Wants A Wife", wasn't up to celebrating the show's season finale last Wednesday night. Like many other residents of St. Charles and Lincoln counties, Neustadt was way too busy dealing with high river waters, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Sunday.

About 800 of the Neustadt family's 2,000 acres near the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers are under six to 15 feet of water. A wet spring had slowed planting so fortunately only 100 of the flooded acres had crops. Another 500 acres or so have corn and soybeans with expected spotty yields because of seep water and heavy rains.

"I'm not going to complain too much; that's just part of living in a flood plain", Neustadt said.
