SCHAUMBURG, Ill., June 10 (UPI) -- A Wisconsin company filed suit against Illinois-based technology giant Motorola Inc., claiming theft of patent rights, court filings said.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The complaint, filed Monday by Memorylink founder Peter Strandwitz, says that Strandwitz and Memorylink director Robert Kniskern unwittingly signed over patent rights to wireless video technology they demonstrated for Motorola in 1998.

The technology is now used in cell phones and security cameras to produce real time images, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The filing says Motorola stole the patent with "a scheme of lies, broken promises of a future working relationship and outright deceit."

Motorola said in a statement it acted "in good faith and in compliance with the written agreements between the two companies."
