| LAKEWOOD, Colo., July 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said it removed Preble's meadow jumping mouse from the endangered species list for Wyoming. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS The mouse, however, remains threatened in Colorado. The agency said development in Colorado has severely altered or destroyed the Preble's habitat, while the Wyoming portion of the range remains mostly agricultural. "Given current and projected human population increases and corresponding increases in urban and rural development, the ongoing loss and modification of riparian habitat is expected to continue in much of the Preble's range in Colorado", the agency said in a news release. The Preble's meadow jumping mouse is about 7 to 10 inches long, with a long tail, large hind feet, and long hind legs.
