Ben Holding, 29, said in court Wednesday that last October he bashed his father Michael's head against a floor, wrapped the body in a sheet and put it into a bin where it stayed for seven weeks.

During that time Holding allegedly sent out fake e-mail messages in his father's name and spent approximately $60,000 of Michael Holding's money, The Daily Record of Glasgow reported Thursday.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, Holding, who worked for STV, admitted to charges of murder, fraud and attempting to defeat the ends of justice, reported the newspaper.

Holding and his wife were living at his 70-year-old father's house when Michael Holding fell during an argument in the basement. Ben Holding allegedly admitted he then banged his father's head on the floor several times before taking the body to a shed. He later confessed to his wife, say police.
