LOS ANGELES, March 22 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Tracey Gold, best known for playing the brainy Carol Seaver on ABC's "Growing Pains' sitcom, has had her driver's license taken from her.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

A judge hearing her felony drunk driving case sentenced Gold to three years' probation, gave her 30 days of county work release, ordered her to perform 240 hours of community service and took her license for a year, E! Online reported Tuesday.

The case stems from a 2004 crash in which the family sport utility vehicle, piloted by Gold, went off the road and rolled down an embankment.

Gold and the couple's infant son escaped unharmed, but her husband and two of their other children were injured in the wreck.
