JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- A case of felony possession of cocaine against Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Matt Jones has been transferred from Florida circuit court to drug court.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Jones, in his fourth NFL season, was one of three men arrested in Fayetteville, Ark., in July after local police said they observed Jones cutting up cocaine with a credit card in a car.

The police report said on July 10, officers approached a white Toyota 4Runner at 12:41 a.m. and observed Jones chopping up white powder with a credit card.

After ordering the men out of the car, the officers found a bag containing six grams of white powder that tested positive as cocaine, a small plastic straw with suspected cocaine residue, a rolled up ten-dollar bill, and a glass jar with suspected marijuana residue.

Jones needs to be accepted into a drug program by Circuit Judge Mary Ann Gunn, and his initial court date is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 13.

He faces a possible NFL suspension.
