NEW YORK, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A New York man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison after he pleaded guilty in connection with a theft in actress Kirsten Dunst's hotel room.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Dunst is best known for her roles in the "Spider-Man" trilogy, as well as in the films "Interview with the Vampire", "Wag the Dog", "The Virgin Suicides", "Elizabethtown", "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "Marie Antoinette."

Police said thieves took money, cameras, an iPod, wallets and a handbag worth more than $10,000 from Dunst's penthouse suite at Manhattan's SoHo Grand Hotel in August 2007.

Jarrod Beinerman, 33, was arrested on burglary and larceny charges, but was allowed to plead guilty to the lesser charge of attempted burglary Thursday, the New York Daily News reported.

Beinerman was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison for the crime.
