LOS ANGELES, July 11 (UPI) -- The Screen Actors Guild reportedly presented a counteroffer to the group of Hollywood film and TV producers with which it has been negotiating.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers announced Thursday night SAG had rejected what the AMPTP called its final offer.

E! Online said representatives for the actors' union also presented an amended counteroffer to the AMPTP at Thursday's meeting.

"We made it clear our final is our final and that we're not interested in further counterproposals", a representative for the AMPTP told E! Online.

The actors have been working without a contract since their previous pact with the AMPTP expired more than a week ago.

The AMPTP has said the contract it proposed would include $250 million in additional compensation for SAG members over three years.

SAG executive director Doug Allen, however, has described that figure as "highly inflated" and said the counteroffer SAG proposed is a "comprehensive (deal) that adopted some of their proposals and offered alternatives on others."

The guild said union officials planned to be in touch with the producers Friday afternoon to discuss where they go from here.
