ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., June 7 (UPI) -- Kelly Pavlik remained unbeaten and retained his WBC and WBO middleweight titles Saturday with a third-round technical knockout of Gary Lockett.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Pavlik (34-0, 30 KOs), from Youngstown, Ohio, sent Welshman Lockett to one knee three times during the fight.

In the second round, Pavlik, 26, landed 41-of-82 punches. Lockett (30-2) dropped to a knee at the midway point and went to a knee again in the final 20 seconds, at which point he was bleeding from the left eye.

In the third round, after Lockett went to a knee for the third time, his trainer, Enzo Calzaghe, threw in the towel, ending the bout at the 1:40 mark of the round.
