ST. PAUL, Minn., July 26 (UPI) -- Right wing Pierre-Marc Bouchard signed a $20.4 million contract Saturday that will keep him with the Minnesota Wild for the next five seasons.

The Minnesota NHL franchise rewarded Bouchard for his 63-point performance last season. He notched 13 goals and 50 assists in his fifth NHL season.

"Pierre-Marc is just 24 years old and the best years of his career are ahead of him", said Doug Risebrough, the team's president and general manager. "He is a good example of how drafting and developing your own players leads to team success. This is why the Wild were willing to make such a substantial and long-term commitment to him."

For his career, Bouchard, the eighth overall pick by Minnesota in 2002, has 61 goals and 160 assists in 354 games, all with the Wild.
