MILWAUKEE, June 22 (UPI) -- Carl Edwards drove his No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford to victory at Saturday night's Milwaukee Mile Nationwide auto race.

The 2007 Nationwide points champion recorded first win this season and 14th of his Nationwide Series career by beating runner-up Joey Logano to the checkered flag by 1.589 seconds.

Logano was the youngest driver ever to win a race at last weekend's Meijer 300 in Sparta, Ky., but Edwards stopped his 36-race winless drought Saturday and then honored the late Alan Kulwicki, a local fan favorite, with a "Polish Victory Lap."

Sprint Cup drivers Edwards, points leader Clint Bowyer and David Ragan, who flew in late from California and had to start from the back of the field, all had solid efforts, but pole-winner Brad Keselowski finished eighth.

Bowyer's third-place finish sends him into next Saturday's race at the New Hampshire International Speedway with a 188-point lead over Keselowski.
