| United Press International Reed Johnson capped an eight-run, eighth-nning rally Sunday with a three-run double that lifted the Chicago Cubs to a 9-2 win over the Florida Marlins. Kosuke Fukodome knocked in one run, while Mike Fontenot added two hits for the National League Central-leading Cubs, winners in nine of their last 11 games. Winning pitcher Ryan Dempster (14-5) gave up two earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out 10 batters. He is one victory shy of equaling his career-high in wins set in 2001 while pitching for the Marlins. Florida's Luis Gonzalez and John Baker both had one RBI.
