JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 30 (UPI) -- The Tennis Channel Open, a men's tournament, normally played in Las Vegas, may move in the 2009 season.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

A report Sunday on the Play Tennis Florida Web site said the event is rumored to be on the selling block, and that organizers of this week's Sony Ericsson Open in Miami have shown interest.

"That's an issue with the ATP, an issue with the Tennis Channel, but if there is a possibility that it is moving, we'd have an interest", said Sony Ericsson Open organizer and founder Butch Buchholz. "If it is moved or changed, there will be other people who want it also. I'm sure we would be one of many groups that would have an interest."

Other reports have said that U.S. players want to keep the event in this country.

When the Tennis Channel Open was played this month, Sam Querrey beat Kevin Anderson to win for the first time on the ATP Tour.
