Loren Roberts, who grabbed his first win of the year two weeks ago, shared fifth place at 66 with Gary Hallberg, Ed Dougherty and John Harris.

Quigley was 2-under through five before making a par save at the sixth, which he said was the key to his round.

"Every round has turning points", Quigley said. "My up and down for par on the sixth was big."

His round was also highlighted by an 84-yard shot that hopped into the hole for an eagle at the 12th.
