Hardy's offensive output helped make a winner of Jeff Suppan (5-6), despite his giving up five runs on nine hits and two walks in five innings.

Salomon Torres pitched the ninth for his 14th save.

The Brewers also got a two-run homer from Joe Dillon.

Arizona starter Randy Johnson (4-7) coughed up seven runs on eight hits over 3 2/3 innings.
