HOLLYWOOD, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Capitol/EMI said it is planning to release the new benefit album, "Olivia Newton-John & Friends: A Celebration in Song", next month.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The newly recorded CD and digital collection features 12 songs, pairing the Australian pop singer with various musical friends like Cliff Richard, Keith Urban, Barry Gibb, John Farrar, Melinda Schneider, Delta Goodrem, Sun, Jann Arden, Amy Sky, RyanDan and Richard Marx.

The album is to be released Sept. 2, Capitol/EMI said.

"I'm so delighted to bring you these songs with the help of a group of talented friends -- some old and some new -- who have donated their gifts and their time for this new collaboration", Newton-John said in a statement.

Royalties from the album will be donated to cancer survivor Newton-John's organization, The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre, which describes itself as "a comprehensive center for the treatment, care and research of all types of cancer to help heal the whole person: body, mind and spirit."
