DHAKA, Bangladesh, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- A baby born with two heads has died in Bangladesh after contracting a fever and suffering breathing difficulties, The Mirror said Thursday.

The British newspaper said the infant boy, who had been named Kiron, lived three days.

During his short time at his parent's home, the child was under police protection as 150,000 people mobbed a Bangladesh clinic to see the newborn.

Those who flocked to the clinic suspected the child may have been a god due to his physical deformity, the Mirror said.

The newspaper said the child's parents had been unable to send their son to the Bangladesh capital of Dhaka for additional treatment that doctors at the clinic had recommended.
